Endress+Hauser is celebrating 70 years and since 06.26. the Global Forum was organized in the Basel Fair Center. After that, the partners of Endress+Hauser had their annual meeting, and on Friday there was also a gala dinner attended by 5,500 people from all over the world. What was in focus throughout the week was successfully managing the transformation of the process industry. Topics such as decarbonization, energy transformation, circular economy, and resource and energy efficiency were communicated from the perspective of experts and users.

What was especially inspiring was the one-hour speech by the adventurer and psychiatrist Bertrand Piccard, the first person in the world to circumnavigate the globe in a balloon, but also to fly over our planet in a plane powered by solar energy. He shared with us his experiences and ideas that concern us all. Sustainability and ecology as key KPIs for business and life in general.

The industry faces the challenge of replacing carbon-based raw materials, developing more energy-efficient production processes, and relying on renewable energy sources to reduce its environmental footprint.
